I don’t think Josie and Finch are going to work out. My theory is that Josie is more invested in Finch than she actually should be because she wants to prove that she can have a successful relationship after Penelope, Rafael, Landon and Jade crapped out. That’s not to say that I think Josie doesn’t actually like her, I’m sure she does, but her and Finch are moving way too fast. They were having fights before they even went out on their first date. They also both entered the relationship in a vulnerable position, having just lost a significant other recently, experiencing some level of separation from their immediate families and struggling with their supernatural abilities. More importantly, Josie entering a relationship with someone as easily angered as Finch is showing regression in Josie becoming less codependent. Josie went from subservient to Lizzie, overbearing towards Landon, aggressive towards Lizzie to subservient towards Finch. Yes missing one date with Finch and then another for another girl looks bad, but you’d think Finch would understand that a long time friend was going through something. Besides, their date idea was last minute and spur of the moment regardless. I’m ready to see Josie in an equal partnership, which probably means that her and Finch won’t work out. Hopefully it’ll be the first relationship Josie has where she gets closure though. Josie could learn a lot from a failed relationship for reasons that aren’t external like the Merge, a vote , another girl or circumstance.
