Finding a partner who also wants to adopt?

I "can" have children but I have chosen not to pass on my genetic neuromuscular disease. I made this decision early in my life based on how awful it is to live with. My first husband was totally opposed to anything other than biological children no matter what; even given the 50% risk of passing on my disease.

I was fairly young when we married so we didn't discuss this stuff in earnest while we were dating. It seemed so far off. Anyway it ended up being one of the reasons we divorced.

My second and current husband pondered it for a short while and quickly decided it wasn't important to him to pass on his genes and he was on board adopting. We discussed it BEFORE we married.
