That's true, there's always two sides to a story. I personally stay away from religion because of stuff like this where nothing is sure and everyone's making predictions. The only thing I believe in is "Do unto others as you would have them do onto you", im sure this is repeated in every religion, I just have the notion to believe that there is too much human error in religion to truly believe all of it, and if I can't follow something as large as a religion (which can dictate your whole life) whole heartedly, I don't think I can be a part of one.

Can you imagine someone trying to start a religion at this point in time where information is so easily tapped into? There would be so many skeptics and non-believers that wouldn't be punished because they don't believe. At the point that many religions were started, it was dark times and people wanted to believe in something higher so their lives can be something more meaningful then what they could make of it back then. People were even forced into a religion or else they would be killed or evicted from their homelands that were raided by other religions. (Btw Im not talking only of Islam, all religions are guilty of this at one point or another)

Now people are more intuitive and the basic intelligence of man has excelled leaps and bounds and people need proof to believe in something, rather than their parents telling them from a young age what they should 100% believe. If you were to raise a child without any religion around them, and at the age of them being an adult (18) and gave him/her all the holy books and told them to pick 1 religion, do you think he/she would truly be able to believe in 1 particular religion?

Sorry about the rant, I think its okay to believe in a religion if thats your thing, as long as it doesn't hurt other people.
