"Fintech professor/expert" article from Jan 2016, saying "RIP Bitcoin, its time to move on.." (BTC < $500)!!

How can anyone be an expert in a brand new system/currency?

We do not know "who" created BTC.

We do not know "why".

There is nothing really you can actually compare it do, as it was the first digital currency of its kind.

Additionally, many investors are not banking types, but day to day people, with emotions. The market dives, and we HODL on principle, and therefore the BitCoin bounce happens (again).

JP Morgan call it a fraud, say they will sack traders for trading BTC, and yet either they themselves or their clients, completely ignore this advice - and buy.

And as anyone can see, there is now soooo much stuff pegged to BTC, and usage of BTC, that it could never now truly become worthless.

And lets be also honest, there is such a small amount of it (<$200BN), relative to fiat, that it is midas/cashcow situation for asset traders, to buy/sell/buy/sell, who have Billions of $/£/e/y to trade.

Some people see BTC as the currency of the people, personally I see the complete opposite. I personally think it will continue to increase in value and eventually become one of the most expensive asset classes.
