FinTech 'Wildcard' to Shutdown

QPay is apparently enroute to bank - or at least the last I read from them - no licence though

I think you've heard about as much as me on this one I still don't think they've shown any signs of them offering anything other then basic stuff that you can get pretty easily with EML.

So in my opinion they haven't really shown any Neobank tendencies.

Yeah it's all built on EML's Controlpay product afaik to get a product quick to market.

Yep which is an okay strategy and is what a lot of the others have used elsewhere in the world using similar platforms.

I don't think this will be the last company in Australia that will try to build something using this platform I was pretty impressed with what Wildcard had built comparatively to other offerings from people using EML.

Are the others all Cuscal?

On a lot of them it's not relatively clear as they're not prepaid products so it's easy to hide who is handling card issuing and card services for said platforms.

Couldn't note any brand on the Hay card (still think most pointless product on market).

Only thing we know about them is their ties to Macquarie I wouldn't be surprised if they're building it on top of their platform and using whoever Macquarie is using for card issuance.

Xinja was defs cuscal pre launch.

That product pre-their full banking license was handled by Indue not Cuscal. Unclear who they use now but I wouldn't be surprised if nothings changed they just don't have to make it is obvious now they've got their own banking license and they're not using Indue as a prepaid card provider.
