FIRE and bullshit jobs

I work in the public sector in a very 'fancy-sounding, well-regarded, well-paying' job that I needed a Masters and specific training for... It's a bullshit job. The job my boss has is also BS. And his boss as well... Looking around in the government (Canadian), there is so much bloat. So many pointless jobs. Many people are done their work (or could finish their work if they focused) by, like, 11am? Many people just surfing Reddit literally HALF the day. Imagine... stuck in an office surfing Reddit when you could be out living your life. Being with family. Exercising, reading, whatever... A lot of the Canadian government is considering making work from home permanent (some branches already have). And it will completely free people from the BS. They can just finish their job by lunch time and then check emails as they come in. No more pretending.
