First Build help, stressing out

If I was building the rifle you've described I'd start by getting an Aero Precision lower from my local shop. I forget exactly what I paid but it was $70-$80. No transfer fee, $2 for background back. For the lower parts kit I doubt I'd buy another Anderson kit. The one I put in the 300blk pistol feels like shit tbh. I'd probably get a Spikes LPK kit (about $70), keep the pistol grip for spare parts and get a BCM Mod 3 grip ($20). Then I'd get a Aero Precision mil-spec buffer tube kit without a stock($40) and get a Magpul CTR mil-spec stock ($50-$60). That's $265 total.

Then a PSA 16" 5.56 1:7 barreled up for $200, BCM charging handle w/ large latch ($50), decent bcg ($110-$160), Midway SSK 15" handguard ($170 - chop and grind the A2 sight tower, keep it as the gas block), iron sights ($90). That puts you somewhere around $880-$935. Buy a few PMAGs and you'd still be under 1k.

There's a million different options when it comes to building one and that's just one. Not saying it's the best or anything but it's probably what I'd do for a decent rifle.
