Ethuumi immediately felt the pelagocratf being pulled. The thing pulling them looked mostly like a shipwreck, except in much better shape, and floating.
      She lost a few moments admiring the ship, before jumping underwater. Heavy as she and her equipment were, she would have sunk, if not for the rope tied to her suit. Instead, she swinged to just under the window, and signed to Ssanu what was happening.

      Ngunga helped him put his suit. He was supposed to do most of the extravehicular explorations, and here he is, alone in the pelagocraft. As the only window was facing downward, he had no idea what was happening upthere. He resolved to swim in circles, worried about his teammates. 
      Ethuumi climbed back up, waiting for Ssanu to come out. By now, the pelagocraft was fully reeled, and they both just had to drop unto the ship deck

      Being deaf, the Emmalean had no idea most people used a sound-based language. They had no idea how spoken Moroi worked, but could easily replicate Sitaari writing, replacing strokes of ink by strokes of arm. 
      Ssanu made his first attempt at communication by signing that approximation of the Sitaari language to the ship crew :
