No, I respond that way about pretty much anything.

I’m not getting too in the weeds, because I frankly don’t care about the details. Whether that’s the difference between a dozen varieties of vegetarian, lgbtq issues, the five thousand varieties of hipster music, marijuana strains, microbrew processes, your particularly religious sect, your favorite superhero’s backstory, or really, anything else.

People don’t need to, and should not be expected to, know the ins and outs of every single thing every single person is passionate about and believes to be true.

If a sincere “cool, I’m glad that’s working for you,” isn’t enough, you’re the problem.
