I remember something like that too, I was a separate entity looking down at my own body, there was a zoom in and suddenly I was in my body.

There was a NDE that is one possible explanation, basically a guy had a car accident, was dying, there was some sort of wheel that had infinite lives that all exist right now but you only experience one at a time. He remembered seeing floating memories of what the car accident could look like but then he went into other worlds, he finally landed in a universe where the car accident didn't happen yet but he could not remember what the other worlds look like. If that's true, then maybe that's what happened.
