first one, done in like an hour

I can't tell if you're trolling or just a garden variety moron, so I'll break it down Barney style for you:

I didn't use Google images as "a source."

  • I used an 1895 Illustration which was made to accompany original and official documentation of the war.
  • I used Don Troiani's Regiments and Uniforms of the Civil War. Don has an enormous, original collection of uniforms, from which he creates his art, the same art I referenced in my album that has the exact unit in question in the exact period in question
  • I used Adolphus Confederate Uniform Research, a documentation blog on original uniform imagery
  • And just so I could use some different angles, I also used a site of the leading Sutlery company, approved by the North-South Skirmish Association, supported by historical documentation and far from "poorly made".

All these sources agreed with each other. Original uniforms, illustrations, reproductions and images made from original pieces all agreed on the exact uniform I said.

Know what I didn't see in any of those sources? This odd, supposedly common, color-swapped uniform you imagined and keep calling "correct" and "original" without proof or historical basis. Burden of proof is now on you, but I'm done here either way.
