I'm a straight, white, home-owning, firearm-possessing, married, fiscally conservative Western Canadian. I'm like the National Post's wet dream. I've previously subscribed to the National Post. And I think that in the pre-subscription digital era they fell from a legitimate national newspaper to an angry, socially-conservative version of the Beaverton. Except they aren't self-aware.

The left has nothing to do with it.
