First step towards basic income - mass volunteering

I'm glad you are starting to think about the economy in a world where everything is automated.

Volunteering will work but it has to be done in a military-style environment where you are required to show up to a volunteer location. And volunteering should be paid.

Let's start with the basic principle that people start doing crazy things when they have no sense of purpose. Murder and suicide. So everybody that is capable of working needs to work at least 4 hours a day 5 days a week doing something.

Let's do away with money and go to a world Credit system. Your credits will be managed by a debit card system and everything you buy or sell will be on record. I know, frightening. No privacy.

Now with these credits, jobs will be categorized under pay grades.

If you take a 40 minute class or apprentice, you will be paid a number of credits. You can take up to 3 classes per day 5 days a week at any age.

If you research and discover something useful during your classes, you will be be paid a large number of credits.

If you go to the gym, you will be paid credits for exercising.

If you participate in a reading club or public social activity, you will get paid.

If you are a care giver, first responder, patrol guard, retail worker, teacher, or solider, you will earn the highest pay grade.

If you are a mother, you will be paid for the first 2 years after childbirth. Then you or your husband, but not both, can be paid to stay at home and care for the children.

What can you buy with credits. You can buy a shelter with 1 bedroom for each family member. Food. Train passes. Clothes. Toys. Augmented Games. Vacation. Etc. Compared to 2015's estimates.

The lowest pay grade is equivalent to $70,000 per year.(parents and students) Mid pay grade face to face workers $100,000 per year.(guards and teachers) Inventors $200,000/year.

The most popular occupations will be agriculture, robotics and divide print(3d Printer) engineering, networking, and camping gear related industry.
