First tech demo app of CINEVEO - Virtual Reality Cinema released for Android with Cardboard VR support.

We are super excited to announce the release of our popular Oculus Rift VR Cinema app for Android with Cardboard VR support.

CINEVEO - Virtual Reality Cinema (http://www.mindprobelabs.com), the popular VR cinema app for Oculus Rift, is now available for Android with Cardboard support!

CINEVEO lets users simulate their own fully functional movie theater in virtual reality, with an unprecedented level of detail and sense of immersion. Grab some popcorn, it's movie time!

NOTE #1: This is only a tech demo for BETA testing and not the final consumer version of CINEVEO for Android. NOTE #2: This tech demo comes with a short film (Sintel 2010). It is not possible to watch your own video files in this tech demo. NOTE #3: The Android version was optimized for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and will look and run optimal on devices with similar specs. NOTE #4: This tech demo has an option to switch to a 2D Mode, which enables you to use the app without a VR headset.

Minimum Requirements • 100% battery charge and few background processes running • Screen Size: 5 inches or larger (OLED display) • Screen Resolution: Full HD (1080×1920) or higher • CPU: Quad-core 1,6 GHz or higher • Motion Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope • Android Version: 4.1 or higher • VR Headset: Homido or ZEISS VR One (Recommended)

Instructions Step #1: Make sure you have 100% battery charge and not too many background processes running. Step #2: Start the CINEVEO app and place the mobile device into your VR headset. Step #3: The short film Sintel will start playing automatically on the cinema screen. Step #4: To open the video controls menu, look at the virtual smartphone located on your chair's right arm rest. Menu Options • Play • Pause • Fast forward (10 seconds or 1 minute) • Fast rewind (10 seconds or 1 minute) • Volume controls • Video seek bar (Go to any position of the video) • 2D Mode (Use CINEVEO on your flat screen if you don't have a VR headset) • Lights (You can turn off the dynamic lighting to gain more performance and frames per second) • Reset (Resets the orientation of the head tracking) • Exit CINEVEO (Exits the app)
