First time investing and am getting the newbie panic with Wealthsimple.

Probably yes.

However, before you started to invest I assume you did some type of risk tolerance test. During the test you were likely asked a question or two about how you would handle your investments losing money. Did the answers you gave still seem correct to you?

If you are anxious about losing $9 you may not have a huge risk tolerance. And that's okay. Despite what some people may tell you, being young doesn't automatically mean you can tolerate a lot of risk.

So if you are getting really worried, maybe you should do the test again and see if your risk tolerance is as high as you originally thought.
