First time tent camping with my kids Cub Scout troop. Most fun I’ve ever had!

I'm glad it didn't rain on you. I have personal experience of the misery being cold and damp on a camping trip can hold. I wasn't personally attacking you, I was levelling criticism but not attacking. I know nothing about what weather your facing but if I see a tent setup like that I gotta say something. I didn't even know it was your tent. If you were still out there and didn't know these things it could ruin your trip. Worse it could have been one of the kids tents. Criticism is not an attack. Maybe I worded it bluntly but passive aggressive responses like that are not needed. If we are being passive aggressive though. I'm sorry you took my criticism to heart so much. I'm sorry you think that putting a tent up correctly is some mythical rigorous standard you cannot achieve. I'm sorry you think that someone has to have had some personal trauma to have criticism to give and I hope that you somehow get through it to continue to enjoy camping, perhaps you could take the couple or lady that you might meet in response to your post in the njswingers subreddit.
