First time watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy! I'm here to share my experience. Share yours too!

Watching the The Fellowship of the Rign was the signular best movie going experience I've ever had. Nothing had ever pulled me in like that. It was like I was in a sensory deprivation pool and the only thing that existed for me was Gandalf, Aragorn, the hobbits, and Middle Earth. I was moved and thrilled, my heart pounding in my chest in so many scenes, it just sucked me in so deeply. I bawled when Gandalf died.

Then I went and re-watched it the next week with my friend who I took to see it the first time, and he kept fidgeting in his seat and playing with this fucking gum wrapper the entire time, like I'm thinking, "Is he seriously fucking bored or something?" and I never had been more disappointed and angry in my life.

But that's movies for you they all just hit people differently.

And goes without saying I am no longer friends with this person, but that's due to other reasons, though this memory certainly made the decisions easier!
