Yeah I've been having a very peaceful time but jsut today had my first really bad experience. Had been out on a really long hunting trip for at least an hour, loaded with nice deer and pronghorn skins and a buck carcass and 3 star critters on the side of the horse. I must have at least $30 worth of pelts on the horse alone, plus all the fish in my inventory (which thank god cant be lost). I had been gathering all this all up and down the Dakota river west of Valentine. I finally decided to head back to valentine one my fish were maxed out and I came across some wild horses and wanted to see if you could sell them back in town. So I broke one in and then spotted a 3 star buck which is worth like $14 alone, and was able to put its carcass on my new second horse. Anyways with all this loot in tow and as I get closer to Valentine I see a blip coming at me on the radar and before I can even look to see who it is he shoots me dead. When I respawned I sprinted back as fast as I could to see if I could still save my horse (my wild one had already run off with the 3 star buck). He was shooting at my horse right beside it but somehow hadn't killed it yet, and I was able to kill him and get back on my horse. I took the missing buck and wild horse as a loss and just started galloping to Valentine. He spawned blocking the path and was able to kill me again, and this time as I feared he shot my horse dead as well before I could get back to it. Anyways was really shitty since it was an actual fun time hunting and fishing up and down the river for so long and gathering so much good stuff. Really hurt to have a fraction of it ruined by some completely random asshole. Worst part is he knows he picked a good person to grief he knew I was heading back to cash in like $100 with my two horses and buck carcasses and pelts in tow.
