Just the other night, Tuesday at 8pm, a very similar thing happened here. Neighbor decided it was a good time to fire off some rounds directly across the street from my house while our 2 year old slept. I didn’t confront him directly but went out to the front porch and yelled “Hey, uh, what the fuck?” in his direction and went back inside. He fired a couple more rounds after that and then stopped. If that guy— who has done some unhinged shit in the past—snapped and chose violence, this easily could have been me, my wife, and our boy.

Oh, and we don’t live in Texas. Not even the South. We live in a very blue state in the Northeast. It’s only a matter of time.
