Five0 on Ambush being unfair (Drama)

Radios, heli, 20v4, ARs, fast vehicles that are durable and good off-road, no consequences beyond losing some time. Ah but it's unfair when crims use a setup that puts them in an advantageous position. I'm kind of shocked by this take tbh. Crims are supposed to be at a disadvantage and they're always going to try to overcome that. If they are ingenious and come up with ways to flip that on its head, they should reap the rewards until cops can counter it.

"It doesn't promote anything". To that I'd say that it promotes good content for both crims and cops to some extent. Sure, that balance might be more swayed to the crim side, but not always.

Entering into a shooting situation using an ambush raises the stakes for everyone. Crims are putting themselves against a stacked enemy with vastly superior numbers and equipment, and with a great deal to lose if it goes wrong. It's high risk, and it's super tense and so can be enjoyable. Cops have to fight against a group that is willingly entering into a shootout with them, and so are likely going to be prepared somewhat and may end up fighting for their lives, and fighting for a big arrest.

Now, I don't like watching gunfights because I enjoy slow-burn, conflict RP but I can see the merits of the RP that an ambush might generate. Saying it doesn't promote anything because it doesn't promote the RP that you personally enjoy is kind of weird.
