Flight home is delayed due to storms so I notified my boss, he offered to drive 11 hours here to pick me up and 11 hours back??

I got injured on the job. Had my foot shattered by a dropping pain of glass that wasn’t installed correctly by a completely separate company. Not only did I have to finish a few things to prevent fire and damage, but my work actually expected I finish out the hour I had left because otherwise I’d be leaving students high and dry. Turned out I broke bones in 14 places and when I told them I was off work for a week, they tried to act like I was faking it and wasn’t actually in that much pain.

Then another coworker got really sick, I did theirs and my job, uncompensated for the second. The lady passed away and it took them 8 months to hire someone else. I did both of them for 8 months and didn’t even get a thank you.

Trust me businesses don’t give a duck about employees. Only what money you make or lose them.
