Florida unemployment website hours keep shifting by one hour

Thank you. I read it all, and it provides no solid evidence that either Scott designed the system to fail or that DeSantis was content with this fact.

The source (Politico) utilizes an unnamed anonymous source (a bit shady) to provide testimony on how the system was “designed to fail”, while offering no proof of their own... which is obviously suspicious.

The other source providing testimony is a Miami Democrat...

Your own article mentions that Scott’s pick to head the agency was denied by the Republican-majority Senate:

“The system has had problems from its very start in 2013, and was one reason state senators refused in 2015 to confirm Scott’s pick to run the agency that manages unemployment benefits.”

Your article doesn’t source this claim either:

“The new online system was part of a series of changes designed to limit benefits. The ultimate goal — which it delivered on — was to lower unemployment taxes paid by Florida businesses.”

And no where in this article does it state that Scott designed the system to fail, nor that DeSantis was content to let it remain that way.

I feel like everyone on this sub is just reading the headlines and hitting the upvote button without holding these journalists accountable to the facts
