Florida Woman tries to scam $600 lottery winner by telling him he won only $5, but the "winner" was an agent working undercover for the state Lottery Commission’s security division.

A desperate person. That's over 2 weeks pay for me and isn't "just $600". To me, $600 represents a chance to do lots of things I've had to put off because I have no money. New tires on my car, new clothes for my children before they grow out of what they have, being able to stock up on food after weeks of going without things like protein and fresh vegetables. It represents not having to calculate miles of trips I need to make for the week to determine exactly how much gas money I'll need or catching up the electric bill because I've been paying it a month late for over 2 years now.

Committing a crime is never advisable and this woman shouldn't have done that but I can see why someone would. If I had a shot at $600 there's not a lot I wouldn't consider to get it. It's not just money, it's a quality of life improvement for me and my family for the next several months.
