“A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it. It just blooms.” ~Zen Shin

Thank you for this. I’m going to use it in my morning “rise & shine” group session with my NeuroDiagnostic Center’s facility’s patients, upon their waking.

I make typically three questions they all answer publicly in writing in front of the other patients (for humility) and so do I (for reducing patronizing vibes) — I typically create the routine of order therein, as follows:

  1. [insert intense but benign self affirmation question, to reach core identity, like] “what is any time of personal experience, any moment of idealism in your life, that you would willingly re-live, if you could?”

  2. [insert reflective affirmation-irrelevant, albeit current-state-basic question for psychological integration of self-affirmation temporally meeting the current state-of-environment, like] “name one rule or expectation on behalf of this unit”

followed by

  1. [insert vital question needing an answer for productivity’s sake and dr/nurse insight, while I have them integrated into a moment of inner connection to the current paradigm via self affirmation with temporary deflection, returning back to asking what I really need to learn about them in the moment, like] “what is one fear you want to overcome?”

Then I add a “quote of the day” on the side, and I’m gonna be using this one, today.

On that note, if anyone, here, has an idea for any good quality self-affirmation questions to help me reach their core true identity outside the DMN/“ego” operating pattern routine of the mind, being an inpatient inside such psychiatric facility wherein they come to new terms with their environmental challenges along with barriers (depending on their perspective of mind, in the moment, or day), I would entirely appreciate it. Same goes for or similar quotes like this post, to guide them on their way, any and all suggestions will go appreciated, if not rewarded!
