Flu

And the core reason we get vaccinated isn't JUST so we don't get sick, it's to protect the people around us who are too sick, eg cancer sufferers or otherwise weak immune systems, don't get sick themselves...

I’ll admit I got the flu vaccine for the first time last year (and again this year) solely because I have an immediate family member with cancer. I did it to reduce the chance of potentially passing a virus onto them.

Previously I never bothered with the vaccine because the last time I had the flu, as opposed to a cold, was when I was 10 (now in my 40s). The amount of legit flu cases I see in family, friends, coworkers etc each year is pretty limited. I also avoid public transport where possible and use hand wipes where possible after using petrol station pumps and shopping trolleys etc.
