Non-receipt =/= filtered.

Within a company, emails shouldn’t be filtered out. If they are, you need to speak with your IT department about their filtering rules.

If you’re sending external emails, especially marketing style emails, then filtering is a real possible problem. However, non-receipt is very rare in the real world and much easier to solve for. Either the outgoing server fucked up or the receiving server fucked up. A lot less variables.

In my experience, most user reports of not receiving an email qualify as filtering issues and are usually user controlled. This is why many companies ask you to add their email address to your address book to ensure it isn’t filtered out by aggressive spam settings.
