Just seems like a pointless generalization. People are multifaceted, and kinky behavior = liberals is a loose correlation. There’s no studies on that (that I’m aware of) to refer to, so it’s just based on limited observation and personal opinion. In the world of politics, I feel like I’ve heard more about conservative politicians being into some weird shit than I have liberal politicians. They just keep their shit in the closet usually. Anecdotally, the only person I know that’s into shit like that is a conservative. But again, that’s all based on my own limited observation, and not based on facts, so I can’t apply it as a rule. Adding the California bit just doesn’t make sense. We don’t know where these folks are from - people travel from all over the place to go to festivals, and I imagine there aren’t many places hosting this kind (before I saw the title, I assumed it was Berlin lol).

Also, on the mask point, there are plenty of liberals that didn’t wear masks or wore masks and didn’t yell at anybody, and plenty of conservatives who wore masks as well. So to bring in politics and say “these are all the people that would lose their shit on you if you weren’t wearing a mask” is just a silly generalization.

I have no horse in either race here. Just trying to apply some logic and reason to what seems like a reactive and divisive statement. I’m also open to being wrong though - maybe there’s some level of truth to it.
