For 12 years, I never hated anything more than my natural curly hair. 2 weeks ago, I started the CG method :)

Growing up I had straight hair until I hit puberty and my hair decided that it wanted to be curly. I was the only person in my family that had curly hair.Naturally I was told that my hair was an absolute mess and I'd have regular visits to the salon to have it chemically straightened. At 16, I've received my first flat iron. So you guessed it, I've been straightening my hair almost everyday until I started the curly girl method. As mentioned, I hated the way my curls look because it was always frizzy and poofy. Being in a Chinese dominant society where having straight silky hair was highly looked upon, my hair didn't even stand a chance. I've always had to endure the remarks about how 'dry', or how 'weird' my 'bird nest' hair looked.

But 2 weeks ago I thought "fuck it, fuck the norm I'm going to be me". And voilà!
