For all the people who are asking if he'll come back, remember that this happened :/

Don’t downvote me for this, but I was been abused mentally and emotionally by my ex-girlfriend, I don’t want to go into specifics and reveal my private life on Reddit but I am traumatised to enter new relationships, and it still causes me a lot of issues today. Despite the intense hatred I have for her, I don’t think it would ever be right for her to have her future career ruined because of what she did. Admittedly I was never sexually abused, but Ameer’s relationship was BDSM, and things can unfortunately go too far, it doesn’t excuse him for his behaviour but it offers insight into the type of sexual scenarios they were both within, and why it may have resulted in Ameer making the sickening choices he decided upon.

This may sound like I’m an abuse apologist, even though I have been a victim myself, but despite what he did being rather disgusting, it would not have been enough to warrant his complete and utter removal from a band he helped create, at the hands of the friends who he most likely called his family.

Ameer was young and deserved of forgiveness, like the rest of us, and your point about people who have had cancer and who have never had cancer speaking on a cancer-related topic rings true here, because I feel compelled to offer my take on things. I don’t believe the accusations were what resulted in the decision, I think Ameer would still be here today had he only been guilty of what we heard, the bond those boys shared was stronger than we can imagine, and people seem to forget that many of the current members were also tied to Ameer’s actions, e.g Romil telling Ameer’s accuser to cover up the marks from one of their sexual encounters. I don’t think the boys would be anywhere near as successful as a result, but I don’t believe Ameer would have been kicked if that was all there was to it. I do believe that either there was far more the boys found out (e.g Ameer setting Dom’s friend up to be robbed) or Ameer left the group voluntarily knowing he could never exist as the band’s figurehead when the very fanbase that supported them were birthed from a generation that do not believe in forgiveness, this generation’s emphasis on feminism and its take on abuse of any form would prohibit Ameer and the boys from ever being able to gain the success they dreamed of, and it would most likely only hinder them.

It’s an awful situation because it seems the reason Ameer left is that there are far more awful allegations that the boys became aware of. I suppose we’ll never know. But if the only true allegations are those we heard initially, I accept it was the right move for BH in terms of their image and their future success, and I wish Ameer the best, because he deserves forgiveness and happiness. So fucked up overall though, I wish it didn’t have to be this way. But correlating to the post itself, no there is no way Ameer will ever return. Too much has been done and said and it’s over, we all need to move on.
