I don't know if I'd call it "fun," but I definitely get into a zone. Sometimes it's frustrating, sometimes it's thrilling, sometimes I surprise myself, sometimes it does make me smile or giggle (comedic scenes or sexy times, lol).

Taking something from inside your head and putting it into words is rewarding, occasionally it's straight-up miraculous. Like, this vague thing just became a solid story that makes sense and has characters I enjoy reading about doing stuff that's interesting to me. Then, if other people read it and enjoy it also, I get extra warm fuzzies.

Now, what I write is fan fiction short stories, so I get quick feedback and don't spend months or years on one story. But I still go through the process, and I consider myself a writer.

It's never boring. If my own writing is boring me, then I'm doing something very wrong and should probably scrap it and start over.
