For Christ’s sake, can we stop downvoting genuine questions?

I still don't really get why you downvote those questions instead of ignoring, but what I take from our discussion is that people should try to provide more context?

I'm way to shy to start a thread in most subs, but this sub is on the bottom of the list of subs where I'd dare to do it. It happens very regularly that I read a question here where I think 'how interesting' and OP got attaced and called a troll and downvoted to hell instantly. Some are still used as a meme like 'why are you obsessed with water' again and again and everytime I feel so bad for the innocent person who dared to ask a question.

I know that's too much and this comment will get downvoted, maybe rightfully because we had a nice discussion, But I just wanted to make you more aware how it looks to an outsider when you see everyone who askes those questions you have in mind gets accused to be a troll, downvoted or mocked.

Please don't activly downvote people who dare to ask a question, just ignore them if you think it's silly.
