Shit is gonna get ugly in the fall.

I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but here in Canada a lot of people are on CERB (Canada Emergency Response Benefit). That $2000/month is running out next month and a lot of people are gonna be in for a huge shock.

Couple that with a tourist industry that's pretty much dead in the water due to covid and borders closed....I don't even wanna think about what's gonna happen. After September it starts to get cold and without a job to go back to? Yikes.

For context the government is starting the CEWS (Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy) in which the government will subsidize a business payroll for 75% - meaning they will only have to pay out 25%. That won't be abused and corrupted by big business at all, right?!?!?. Welcome a long, loooong time of minimum wage! Fuck sakes :(
