For Honor Year 4: The Year Of Reckoning

Tbf Valve had their hand in introducing a lot of anti consumer garbage into games, yet they somehow get away with it. For example they escalated MTX with their skins and the market, they made loot boxes and gambling in games big years before Overwatch even launched, tried (try? succeeded?) to monopolize mods and pushed for paid mods and was/is in a dozen legal battles over anti consumer practices over the world (most famously in the EU and its singular member nations and Australia - and where other companies like Ubi or EA cave and accept the law, Valve likes to fight tooth and nail, like in the Australian refund case, where they fought unil the last instance and then tried to weasel out claiming they arent under Australian jurisdiction, as they arent there, they are just selling to Australians. It didnt go well.). Yet when people think of loot boxes they think of Blizzard and Overwatch as well as Battlefront 2 and EA (which btw introduced a refund policy on Origin two years before Steam finally caved in and did it, after they lost the mentioned Australian case), or when its about the Battle Pass its PUBG or Fortnite. They are masters of viral marketing and the fanboyism is incredibly strong. Hardly any company has such rabid fanboys.
