For the ‘police know who it is’ brigade.

A coupon of questions?

I'm going to re-draft this post in a way that makes sense:

I have a couple questions for the people who bang that the ‘police know who it is’.

By this logic, you have to believe that the second catch is extremely accurate?

Is it fair to suggest you should also be highly skeptical that it was drawn immediately following the crime?

If ‘police know who did it’, then it could have been done a week before the April, 2019 press conference in an attempt to reach those who know/suspect the assailant, in hope that they come forward, right?

Now I'm going to answer it, as someone who is confident that the police have absolutely no idea who or what they're looking for at this point.

I don't necessarily believe they would have to. Though logically, if that press conference was directed at a specofic suspect, that would likely be a notably accurate sketch.

Is it fair to suggest you should also be highly skeptical that it was drawn immediately following the crime?

I don't see why. If they believe they've identified the suspect, and they realize the suspect resembles a sketch developed earlier in the investigation, that really doesn't change anything. You're assuming they'd have drawn the sketch specifically to model their suspect, rather than the sketch simply already bearing a close resemblance to the suspect. Both are possible.

Sure... why not? I dont know why they'd lie about it being developed early in the investigation, but it's certainly possible.
