For Redittors aged 65+: Do you believe the world is becoming a better or worse place since you were a kid? Why or why not?

You and anyone else can fill in the gaps with alternative views. I don't hate the US. You can be critical of something without hating it. I hate many of things that US has done. Just as I love many others.

I don't really understand the Korean vets views on USA but I believe it is similar to the Vietnam generation's issues with that war. For some reason, the Korean war is much more accepted as necessary by Americans than it is by Australians. I guess it's a remnant of the anti-communism movement. The vibe I got from talking to old Aussies was that the only reason Stalin was interested in the peninsula was the American presence and it was kind of an unnecessary war for the allies. I'm not going to go further in arguing history, because I'm not an expert.

...okay, so ISIS doesn't get any blame for itself? I mean shit, I agree that the Iraq War was a disaster and destabilized things even more but you know, the US doesn't hold full responsibility for everything that ever happens. You can't predict the future. Also, Generation Z average age is like 10 or some shit.

Basically yes the US is solely responsible for ISIS. There are many great summaries of how ISIS came to be, if you are interested in reading more.

Generation Z are 23 and younger. Some may have voted twice already. Branding them all as children is unfair.
