For Those Angry with Resellers/Scalpers/QuickCashers and the SNES Classic. Here's some food for thought.

I skimmed through this so I may fix my post when I re-read this in full, but you're misunderstanding this.

This isn't 'oh my snes classic is worth 3x what I paid for it a year ago, cool lemme resell it'

This is 'what the fuck. scalpers are buying these by the dozens and bots are scoring preorders causing them to be shut out in minutes, if not seconds, BEFORE THE FIRST ONE EVEN GETS ON THE SHELF!'

So yeah, it'd be like if some dude bought up all the action comics #1 before they even go on sale to little kids for 5 cents.

Nobody hates collectors that resell their stuff after they bought it at retail price (or even less used) because in most cases, everyone had an equal opportunity to pay those prices at that time. If it turned out to be rare/valuable later on, good for those collectors.

But how can you even begin to compare that, when it's very lucky for anyone to even attempt to buy at retail price? We've got people hoarding these which is the main determinant for these to hit $300+.

And your tl;dr is good, I just think you're making bad comparisons trying to get to your point.
