One off? No, there’s millions of Boston fans. It is however, fringe hateful individuals. Obviously the treatment of Bill Russel was fucked, but it was also the 60’s. MLK was still alive & fighting for his peoples rights for fucks sake. The Celtics were the first team to integrate & draft black players & have a black head coach, obviously there was a fuck ton of racists who hated that. And I’m not really speaking about baseball, idgaf about the Red Sox & baseball fans tend to skew older & more disposed to those hateful comments.
