For those who have been in the audience for a TV show taping, what was it like?

We wandered up to a small line up of people in the National Broadcast building when we were in Toronto a few years ago.

We asked what this was for they said it was for taping for a few George Stroumboulopoulos shows. So we waited.

After a few minutes they let us in and we're instructed to put any bags or backpacks in an area before we can enter the sound stage. After a few minutes waiting in a holding area just outside the stage we were let in and they started positioning people so there was a good mix of genders and heights.

The order for taping was a "3 things panel" type of segment with comedians commenting about current events. They would break change outfits, project different lights on the wall and change furniture for the next show.

Then they did a show called George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight with a few guests, mainly Fred Penner, Judd Apatow And Leslie Mann.

They also taped some promos and short segments for other shows that week.

It was interesting and between breaks George spoke, answered question, signed a celebrity guitar someone brought for a fundraiser they were giving it away. In the end he met every person that was in the audience, took pictures and we had a chance to take pictures on the set and in the red couches.

It was an interesting experience for just wandering up to a random line in a building.

Here are a couple clips we saw and I think we are in the one with the song.
