For those who got turned down by MBB and are now elsewhere. How did you react/cope with it?

Just heard back from McKinsey and Bain, didn't go well enough on cases apparently. I have offers from Deloitte + PwC but still pretty upset and disappointed.

I'm sure you'll have a great time as part of Deloitte's cyber risk consulting practice.

Have you ever asked a girl out and gotten rejected? Been turned down for anything? I don't mean to be condescending but it's a part of life man and you just have to work through it. Don't let it eat you up, at the end of the day it's just a job and you can find fulfillment if you look for it.

Not going to lie, I think a lot of people who are prepared for working at MBB have dealt with a lot of adversity in their life and if you would want to consider yourself part of that "caliber" of people if you even want to call it that, you should get used to dealing with adversity.

Put it behind you, move on to the next challenge with that experience as something added in your life that you can look back on and improve.

Or drown yourself in alcohol and waste away the best year of college.

Relatively tough love from a first year who is at a mid tier firm which does 1bb in sales a year, but damn whatever kind of kids MBB is attracting and rightfully rejecting need to suck it up and realize you have to deal with tough shit.
