My parents were in fields related to psychology and I️ took an early interest in I️t as a child. I️ also knew at quite a young age that I️ was fundamentally very different from other people and likely personality disordered but was unsure about which I️ had. I did not figure out which one until I️ was in my late teens/early twenties and was studying psychology/psychopathology and neurology more in depth. I️ eventually got a couple degrees, the studying of which led me to realize I️ was aspd/psychopathic. I’d had a long time trusted analyst and basically wanted to see how accurate my self reporting was. I️ believed I️ was quite objective and that my self reporting was reliable but self reporting is largely wildly inaccurate and not taken seriously at all in the field.
