For those that work in underground city systems such as subway transit or underground utilities or anything else, what are some interesting things you have seen down there that most of us will never get to see?

been sitting here for a while trying to think of how to say this without getting in trouble so im sorry but you will have to just wonder

I'm not a public servant im Infantry my unit is shared with an air force base and the air force of my country have a very niche role of foot troops who are trained to operate in hazardous environments like radio active areas or chemical spills

i briefly served in this unit because my unit was in the process of being disbanded and went inactive for 18 months

while i was in this job we were called out to a break into a facility and what weird thing did i discover?

places like Black Mesa do in fact exist... (im not kidding small looking airbase huge underground complex it reminded me of the Lambda labs) BUT its not as impressive as its sounds its populated with hipster geniuses who work on tech no secret interdenominational Alien invasions sorry

and before anyone asks no i don't know exactly what went on there but i'm pretty sure it was just an R&D lab there were a lot of rad haz signs around but we didn't pick up on any leaks

and no it was not some rival shadow ops team that infiltrated either it was just some conspiracy theorist protesters who broke in and manged to raid the on site securities armory which is why we were called
