For the unvaccinated swine. If you haven't gotten your religious exemption answer by the COVID vax due date, are y'all getting an extension to still get the vaccine to be able to stay?

I would say go to school and find a good career vs going back AD

I almost went right back in after getting out but I got divorced and I have full custody of my son so that wasn’t an option anymore. I’m finishing up a degree in accounting and even as entry level without a degree I’m making more than I would be as an E6. I also come home from work every night and don’t have random 24 hour shifts, month long trips to California with no extra pay, or any of the dog shit that comes with being AD infantry.

That being said, I do often miss being active duty because of my friends. Being 19-22 on active duty in a line platoon is honestly a ton of fun, and I have prescription strength rose colored glasses for my time in.

I think it’s objectively better to use your GI bill and get a real job, your body and bank account will thank you. You can get your Army fix once a month in the Guard or Reserve (I know it’s not the same)
