The Force can have a strong effect on the weak-minded

That site starts off well, but it quickly becomes a tedious, bordering on treasonous rant. The linguistic programming in the title crawl is one of the points that made me realise that we were being lied to, though. The weak-minded think the Empire is evil because their perceptions were moulded from the start.

Yoda is perceived as being "wise" for similar reasons: despite all the lies and pop-philosophy rubbish he comes out with, and despite the fact that his dogmatism is clearly partly responsible for Anakin choosing the Emperor's side over the Jedi, yet Yoda accepts no responsibility for the consequences and responds only with attempted murder, and despite the fact that he did not learn from his mistakes and tried to make all the same ones with Luke Skywalker - despite all this, people mistake Yoda for being wise because he was introduced as a great, wise spiritual guru and warrior, and then subverted expectations by being short and senile and having no understanding of the use of grammar in Galactic Basic. These are nothing more than (to the ignorant) amusing quirks, but the weak-minded continue to mistake it for wisdom and get quite emotional if you question this or ask them to explain exactly when and how Yoda displays actual wisdom.
