Ford F-150 Pickup Trucks Recalled Because Their Headlights Are Too Bright

Hard disagree on the severity of this situation. I’m not going to mod my truck just to appease you (not that I own this truck in the parent comment). I’m not the asshole for driving a factory stock vehicle. Just like all the other comments on this post where people are blaming the driver, it’s actually the manufactures fault. And I drove a sedan for years, never once was put in danger because of all the big ass trucks I live around. It’s annoying, yes. In the city or in the country, it sucks to be blinded. Personal experience, but that what the parent comment is based off of so I feel it’s justified.

But again, I wouldn’t be the asshole in that situation. You’re taking out frustration with a manufacturer on a person that’s just living their daily life. I think it’s unfair to assume the average person that drives this truck is addressed about the “danger” of their headlights. And also unfair to assume that driver sees their stock truck as a risk on their own. Because why would the average driver assume their stock vehicle is not up to code?

Again, warranted frustration and anger, but absolutely misplaced. There’s a reason recalls don’t come out of the customer’s pocket. It’s the company fucking up, not them.
