Ford's response to the lack of rent support is a joke

Damn, all the name calling in the world and no facts. I paid $2000 a month for a 2 bedroom new condo downtown in 2016, if you've been paying $2000 for rent for a decade you've been living in some very upscale places until recently. The only one talking about bootstraps is you, but I guess anyone who challenges your view must be a conservative boomer, it couldn't possibly be that different people have different viewpoints, doesn't make them idiots.

You mention landlords, but the key point you're forgetting is that landlords signed leases with the understanding they had a legal right to evict tenants for non-payment. That right has been taken away from them, so of course they're going to complain.
