Foretelling a death during a reading.

Nowhere did OP ask for your views on the morality of these pulls or tarot, if they should ever conduct these pulls, or pretend they're not real and they're just pieces of cardboard with no inherent value. OP asked what the appropriate course of action is for providing an interpretation that is obviously negative in nature. These sorts of readings are part of the practice. Period. Tarot does not strictly consist of events that are warm and fluffy.

Not everyone perceives tarot as a singular energy exercise, that is limited to their sphere of influence as you consider it to be. If the individuals involved held such perspectives, they wouldn't be conducting such readings. If that is your perspective, great, but try to understand that many do not hold views similar to your own even if they're not nearly as vocal as you have been.

Stop discouraging everyone on every post you wander into from expanding their practice and experience. It is unnecessary, patronizing, and reeks of an ideological superiority complex.
