Forged irons really that hard?

There are GI irons that have forged heads, like Cobras. I don't know why you need the "feedback" you think you're gonna get though. Forged or not, if you have inconsistent contact, you will feel and see it with any club type. Blades are a different animal.

For example, if you hit a GI forged 7i muscle or cavity on the toe and it goes 130 and way right, don't expect the SGI version head to help you any. Hell, you may get more airtime, but then the slice will be worse. Bad strikes equal bad strikes, and divots and flight are the only feedback you're gonna need for quite a while.

So, if you find some GI forged irons, the only real advantage you will have it the ability to adjust the L+L, which is great, but it won't have many other advantages until you get to a pretty advanced striking level.
