Accurate. I’m not Armenian but my husband and best friend are, and they are both workaholics. They’re really proud of being self-made people, and my husband (first generation) says it’s a culture thing because they are pushed to be successful and well-educated at a very young age, plus his family was extremely poor, so he wanted more for himself. He may not drive fancy cars but he does brag about how much money he makes and being able to travel and stay in nice hotels (side note, we don’t travel that much and only stay in nice hotels due to having a Hilton credit card). He gets very burnt out with work though and so does my friend and I see their mental health suffer.
