Forgiveness for the enemy? Nah, I'm good.

not for nothing, but something that upsets me in the anger and willingness to react violently (against man or property) is that there seems to be no goal.

King had specific ordinances and laws he sought added and changed...he got those.

The problem is the damage was done. Legally we are 100% equal to a white man. Legally. But not in the minds of the powerful...and if that is what we want we have to go about it tactfully.

But tact is a dirty word now..."why should we play by their rules" "why should we live in their world" the fact of the matter is it isn't THEIR world...it is OUR world. And whining without purpose seeks no way to better OUR world.

Day after day we get history lessons that seek solely to anger each other. "Emmitt Till" "Black Wall Street" and no amount of reminding will change those things.

And I do love that we seek to share OUR history with our brothers and sisters the issue is the purpose of bringing up these horrendous acts seems ot be solely to upset us and make us angry so we can.........

so we can what? what the hell is the goal? What's the agenda? Blind rage isn't the answer. We are legally equal and to the ignorant and/or hateful that's enough.

To a white person whose sole exposure to black America is through anecdotes and entertainment they can't literally are mentally unable to understand what we complain about. They look at stats and news and wonder "how the fuck can black lives matter mean anything when more white people are killed per year by blacks than whites. Blacks kill more black people than white people kill people" They don't think these things out of hate...it is literally hard for them to understand.

So what's the goal? Someone PLEASE tell me.

The problem is no longer legal. The legal system may be at fault but it isn't codified.

SO what is the goal?

Are we trying to FORCE people to think a certain way? To see a 12 year old black boy as a child and not a future thug? To see a group of HS age kids at a pool party as the teenagers they were acting like and not as a group of future/current thugs? Because you can't force that...you can only BE that and let them come around on their own.

Fuck them....they aren't concerned about us. So we have to be for them.

And no they aren't massacring us. It isn't open season on black boys...none of that. That simplifies a multifaceted and multi-generational issue into rallying cries for the uninformed.

Black people are seen as more dangerous...by everyone...including black people. This isn't caused by some knowledge of statistics this is caused by the news by the music and the media.

And the lies and exaggerations told by white America about us behind our backs.

We are 40 million. We are American. We must take ourselves into our own hands and handle our own shit. Fuck whining, fuck that shit...it seeks to solve nothing.

You aren't required to forgive but we aren't some innocent victims who need to beg and plead and tantrum for help or understanding.

Support black businesses...Support black education.

And for the love of God stop acting like everything that spawned from our government created situations is golden and simply misunderstood. Hip-hop DOES glorify shitty situations and mindsets, it isn't all story-telling. The storytellers don't sell much with their tales.

Some of this may make no sense, some of it may make sense, and a lot of it is probably tangential but these are my thoughts.

Oh, and the people calling for guns to arm ourselves...we have enough and we tend to aim them at each other. You can't even get 2 groups of people from 2 blocks to get along and now you want to arm a populace against an aggressor who subconsciously fears you (not hatred in all cases) with no stated goal, no leadership, and about 500 voices drowning each other out.

And no, back to Africa is not the answer. It sounds like a pipe dream made by a stubborn group of people.
