Form check please? Been playing for a few months now and became addicted to the sport. Still can’t quite reach 300 foot consistently. Besides the obvious no no of wearing jeans, what are the biggest things I need to fix to get more distance?

Good news! You have some easy things you can improve.

1- Stop rounding and pull straight through.

2- In the middle of your throw get the disc into your chest with your arm at 90 degrees from your shoulder (straight out in front of you), and your elbow 90 degrees. Look up the ‘power pocket’. Any improvements made without throwing through the power pocket are a waste of time. Everyone who can throw far throws through that position.

3- Throw by rotating at the waist not shoulder muscles. You are trying to muscle the disc. Distance comes from speed not strength. Rotate fast all the way through the follow through.

Come back when you have fixed those 3 things. You will be throwing 150 feet farther.
